Rawlings Baseball Bat Reviews

Rawlings does make decent baseball bats and it seems in recent years they are making a push to becoming a serious competitor in the aluminum baseball bat industry. They are better known for their baseballs that are exclusively supplied to the Major Leagues.

Rawlings’ wood baseball bats have always seemed weighted different than the competitors and when I say different I mean “heavy”. They don’t have a good proportional feel but everybody’s different. Maybe it’s because of the rounded end-caps on most models that they are never to shock resistant, however they do come with a sanded grip which is at most convenient.

Rawlings’ aluminum bats do offer composite materials utilizing carbon fiber and fiberglass. Carbon fiber is light-weight and strong. They actually have a conductor of sorts that carries energy between the handle and barrel of their “Plasma Fusion” series. They have an end cap that has been tested to withstand a major impact up to 105mph but that’s not where you want to be hitting the ball anyway. Rawlings’ aluminum and wood baseball bats have a flat ended-handle feature that I don’t particularly care for and would seem uncomfortable to anybody.
