Add Some Bling To Your Truck - Choose 24in Rims
Everyone knows that 24 inch chrome rims are big, and it's as it should be - as they were designed to be put on some pretty big automobiles. But, because it's just human nature for people to want to "out-do" each other, a lot of folks put them on their average sized vehicles in an effort to stand out as outrageously as possible. Moreover, they do this even though most of the time they know it might not be a good idea. But is there a way to put these giants on the smaller cars, so you can drive them on the road? And, if so, what kind of cars could you "jazz up" to make your "statement"?
Well, first off, the reason you can't just slap big rims on your tiny car is because of the differences in design and size - and many a regretful car owner could tell you stories of how his steering wheel locked up when he tried to make a left hand turn, and caused an accident. But don't despair - you can have modified tires made that will enable your vehicle to accommodate those big rims, and this will take care of the driving problem!
Now that you know how to prime your vehicle for them, here is a quick list of just a few of the cars you can "spice up" with those bad boys. (Keep in mind that what may look great to you, might not look too appealing to someone else.)
The Station Wagon - Putting rims this big on it was never even a consideration for those who owned one of the long-respected, dependable - yet boring - family station wagons - until now. You can participate in this change by installing those special tires on yours - add the rims - and drive it in its new form to the next "family" outing. You can appear looking as whacked out and dangerous as you'd like, and relish in the stunned looks on the faces of the "normal" people.
An AMC Gremlin - The poster-child for "ugly car", this poor vehicle has been looked down upon by Pinto owners for years. But now you can give it its rightful moment in the spotlight for once. Slap those special tires and giant car wheels on it and drive your Gremlin proudly down the main street of your town. For once you'll be looking DOWN on all the cars and drivers that have laughed at your car's humbleness. This little automobile deserves it.
The "Chevelle" - If any car was made to house those 24 "inchers" it's any Chevelle from the 1960s through the 70s. A sleek road demon with a huge motor, the extra huge rims complement its capacity for lightening speed, and not many people would argue this point.
The Hearse - You will have to stretch your imagination for this one, but try it on for size. What better way to publicly make a final farewell to a fun-loving friend or relative who has passed away than by bringing him to his big send-off in a style as original as he was? Of course, you will probably have to own one, or know someone who owns a hearse, and doesn't mind you swapping out the normal wheels and rims for the modified tires and gigantic 24 "inchers". And, just think of the legend you'll create for the person being honored. In fact, it may start a trend with those people who "pre-plan" their memorial services.
So as you can see, you can put big, bright, shiny 24 chrome wheels on many different types of cars - in fact, any car you'd like. Just remember to get special tires made for your car, so you can wear those car wheels safely - and, so the splash you make isn't the sound of splashing water as your vehicle locks up and rolls over in during a rain storm because you didn't err on the side of caution!
