Cheap Nintendo Wii Fit - Exercise Has Never Been So Much Fun
Video gamers have always had a reputation as couch potatoes, but the Wii Fit breaks the mold and allows players to get in shape while they play their games. A whole new segment of the population has gotten into gaming now that they see how much fun this new type of gaming is. Young and old alike are getting the benefits of a good workout while they enjoy the games and interaction with other players.
Wii Fit was first released in Japan on December 1, 2007 and in other regions in April and May 2008. While most of the companies in the gaming arena have not been up to the mark in their recent quarterly figures, Nintendo has reported a whopping 34 percent jump in their profits for the April-June quarter.
If you want a cheap Nintendo Wii Fit you can buy one through eBay or it's partner site Half. Both sites are trusted online auction sites which have become household names. Worldwide at any given minute of the day there will always be a Nintendo Wii auction going on or a Nintendo product auction. This makes it convenient on you since you don't feel pressured at a retail store. Some auctions also feature free shipping on cheap Nintendo Wii Fit as part of a bundle deal (or if you find a generous seller).
Wii Fit has a great new contraption called the Wii Balance Board. It has pressure sensitive sensors and a wireless connection to your Wii console, so it can sense your movements as you stand on the board and lets you control on screen activities with your whole body. First you input your height, then it measures your weight, and this allows it to calculate your center of gravity.
The game has 40 different activities, divided into four key areas: Aerobic Exercise with 10-minute exercises, Yoga poses for balance and stretching, Muscle conditioning for controlled motions, and Balance Games like heading footballs and ski jumping. The game also tracks a user's "Wii Fitness Age" through a body test basing the result on the user's current age, weight, and balance.
In my quest to bring the best possible health advice to the Revolution Health community I am actively pursuing interviews with credible sources. At the top of the list is America's #1 doctor, the Surgeon General. I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Vice Admiral Richard H. Carmon, M.D., who served as Surgeon General from August 2002 to August 2006. He addressed a range of health issues facing Americans today. I am posting the interview in segments; the following post is part of that series.
